1993 – 1994
Company Founded as Hoppers Brewpub in Erie’s historic Union Sation. Brewing capacity was 1040 Barrels.
1996
Expanded production to 2,100 barrels and added bottling capacity.
1999
Transition from brewpub to full fledges microbrewery. Moved from Union Station to current production facility. Production capacity 6,000 Barrels.
2003 – 2007
Cardinal Equity Associates, a venture capital firm, gains majority stock in the company. A major overhaul of brand image and company management begins. Increased production capacity and extended distribution to PA, NY, OH, MD, NJ, MI, IN.
2010
With the addition of several new tanks, precision filtration systems, Monobloc Bottling Line, and grain silo, Erie Brewing Co. is poised to comfortably transition to regional brewery status in the next several years. Current distribution includes : AL, DE, FL, IN, KY, MD, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, VA.
2012
Erie Brewing Company undergoes a financial restructuring as well as an ownership change. Our management and sales team launch an initiative to improve current distributions relationships. Our focus is to streamline production and bottling in order to provide exceptional products and customer service.
2016
Began plans for new brewery in Knowledge Park.
2017
June 15, 2017: Opened the doors to the new brewery at 6008 Knowledge Parkway with John’s Wildwood Pizzeria creating Pub & Pie.
2019
April 10, 2019: Beginning plans to open second location in Millcreek Twp.
